overwhelmed

today, i realized that being overwhelmed isn’t always about one big thing.

sometimes it’s just many quiet thoughts arriving at the same time.

a thought about my future.
a thought about someone i still like.
a thought about my family.
a thought about whether i’m “enough.”
and somehow, they all started talking at once.

i caught myself asking,
“what have i even achieved?”

as if achievements are the only proof that i’m worthy of meeting someone good.

but maybe…
life isn’t asking me to prove my worth.

maybe it’s simply asking me to keep growing.

i don’t think i’m looking for someone who always thinks the same way i do.

i’m only hoping for someone who is willing to think with me.

someone who doesn’t have to win every conversation.

someone who believes that understanding each other matters more than being right.

someone whose thoughts can meet mine somewhere in the middle.

and maybe…

before meeting that person,

i’m learning to meet myself there first.

to stop measuring my worth by milestones.

to believe that surviving, learning, changing, and slowly becoming more aware are also quiet forms of growth.

perhaps i’m not behind.

perhaps i’m simply becoming—

at my own pace.
